Lead powder is a great tool for professionally swing-weighting a golf club.  I use this when I want to increase the swing-weight a few points, but avoid the messy look of lead tape.  Tip weighting is another alternative to this, but sometimes, you won’t have the right sized tip weight for the shaft size that you are dealing with, especially with various putter shafts.  In this case, using lead powder is a quick and versatile method to achieve the same results.

Materials Needed

*Note: In the video, I already have a hole drilled at the end of the grip because I had previously used this club with Tour Lock weights . If you are like most golfers, you won’t have this hole drilled out already, and will have three choices:

  1. Use a funnel with a fine point, and stick this in the small hole at the end of the grip.
  2. Save and remove the grip
  3. Cut the grip off entirely
